Introductory To Video Editing With Avid Free & DVD Authoring

Overview:
This 3 night, one Saturday course will cover the basic techniques of shooting with a digital video camera. Learn the basic functions and settings of the camera. Introduce the concept of non-linear editing, the basic features of Avid Free, QuickTime and DVDIT. Session time is divided between demonstration and hands on practical, with ample time for experimentation.

Prerequisite:
This course assumes that you are familiar with the Windows computer system software and familiar particularly with the user interface and navigational tools.

Hardware Required (*optional):
*Digital video camera with FireWire
Window system with sufficient hard disk space
*Internet connection
*FireWire card
Sound card and speakers
